What is Franklin Method?

Franklin Method Functional Anatomy

The Franklin Method® is a movement education system that focuses on how your body is designed to move. Using functional anatomy, imagery, and hands-on guidance, it teaches you to move more efficiently, reduce tension, and improve coordination, not just during exercise, but in everyday life.

Rather than focusing only on repetition or isolated strength, the Franklin Method helps you understand your body from the inside out. You learn how joints, muscles, and connective tissue work together, so your movements feel natural, supported, and sustainable.

Why the Franklin Method is Different

  • Movement understanding, not just exercise: Instead of memorizing exercises, you learn the principles behind them.

  • Functional anatomy in action: Uses imagery, touch, and guided movement to help your nervous system organize movement more efficiently.

  • Reduces unnecessary tension: Teaching the body to move correctly often relieves discomfort and prevents injury.

  • Supports long-term results: The skills you gain carry into daily activities, standing, walking, lifting, and sports, beyond just the studio.

The Franklin Method® emphasizes awareness, education, and body function, giving you tools to move better, feel better, and improve performance in all areas of life.
