About Me
Hi, I’m Maggie.
I’m a Classical Pilates teacher and Franklin Method® educator passionate about helping people understand how their bodies are designed to move.
My work focuses not only on guiding exercises, but on developing awareness and confidence so movement becomes more efficient, sustainable, and supportive of everyday life.
My approach
My sessions combine Classical Pilates and Franklin Method® to support both physical strength and movement awareness.
Rather than simply completing exercises, clients learn how their bodies function and organize movement more efficiently, creating lasting changes inside and outside the studio.
What I teach
Movement is most effective when it’s personal.
Every session is individualized — no two bodies are the same.
Guided by Classical Pilates and the Franklin Method®, each session adapts to support your structure, needs, and goals.
-
Classical Pilates follows the original system developed by Joseph Pilates, designed to build strength, mobility, coordination, and control through a structured progression.
Rather than isolating muscles, Classical Pilates trains the body as an integrated system, improving posture, alignment, and overall movement quality. The method emphasizes precision, breath, and consistency, helping create balanced strength and lasting physical resilience.
-
The Franklin Method® focuses on improving how the body moves through functional anatomy, imagery, and body awareness.
By learning how joints and muscles are designed to function, clients develop a clearer understanding of movement. This often reduces unnecessary tension, improves coordination, and allows exercises to feel more natural and effective both in practice and daily life.
“Change happens through movement and movement heals.”
— Joseph Pilates
My Journey to Pilates
My movement journey began through weight training and yoga, where I developed a growing curiosity about how the body functions and adapts.
After experiencing chronic knee pain, I discovered Pilates while searching for a way to move without discomfort. Pilates not only helped rehabilitate my injury but transformed how I understood movement, improving mobility, strength, and overall ease in daily life.
Inspired by this experience, I pursued professional training and completed the 950-hour Comprehensive Teacher Training Program at Beyond Pilates under Noam Gagnon, within the lineage of Joseph Pilates. I later expanded my studies through the Franklin Method Institute, completing Level 1 and Level 2 training focused on functional anatomy and movement awareness.
Testimonial
“No matter where you are in your Pilates journey, Maggie has this incredible ability to meet you right there. She makes you feel at ease the moment you walk in, yet she will absolutely push you in the best way and somehow she does both at the same time without it ever feeling like too much. What really sets her apart is that her cues are always specific to your body. There is nothing cookie-cutter about the way she teaches, and that is exactly why it works.”
